The reclaimed estate of Eunice Alma Harris Jones Malone
Tucked away in the historic Hyde Park neighborhood, once a quaint home of Eunice Alma Harris Jones Malone, owner of a preschool, kindergarten teacher, and herbalist, legacy grew here. Following a dream, the home and the land was purchased by her great granddaughter Andrea Fenise. Now, it is the estate of In Search of Our Garden, a sacred home, garden, archival repository, and atelier to honor the ways of Big Mama and all of the women before us.

An estate for growing legacies and
honoring the ways of our ancestors
In Search of Our Garden Estate or what I affectionately call Big Mama's will be my home away from home and garden. But it is more than that. It is the retelling and rewriting of a story of an ancestral garen and archival repository that will create legacies for other lifetimes. It is a philosophy that will uphold generational wealth, champion for memory work, and ancient practices. It is a call for defining growth, legacy, and holistic living.

In Search of Our Garden is a reminder that legacies live on and through us. We carry the seeds that were once sown. Our generation is being called forth to be rooted in ritual and bloom with love.

Continuing the journey of my lineage of healers, I am growing medicinal ancestral herbs and rebuilding the home. I will harvest herbs, flowers, and native plants to make healing remedies and rebuild the home as a community repository. In all of it, I am committed to honoring my great grandmother's legacy while creating my own because I truly believed we are being called to complete what our ancestors started.
